Frequently asked questions

Clovett bags are crafted from premium full-grain leather. Full-grain is our highest grade, retaining the natural grain for maximum durability and a rich patina over time.

Clean: Wipe light marks with a soft, slightly damp cloth—avoid soaking.

Products: Skip harsh household cleaners; use a specialist leather cleaner sparingly (test first).

Store: Keep in a cool, dry place out of direct sun. Use the included dust bag; lightly stuff to hold shape.

Condition: Apply a quality leather conditioner occasionally to keep it supple.

Handle: Avoid sharp/rough surfaces and watch for colour transfer from dark fabrics. If wet, blot and air-dry naturally.

Our leather isn’t waterproof. Light showers are usually fine—just blot (don’t rub) with a soft, dry cloth and let the bag air-dry naturally away from heat or direct sun. To help repel splashes, you can use a leather-safe protector spray and condition periodically to keep the hide supple. If the bag gets heavily wet, empty it, gently reshape, and stuff with clean tissue while it dries. For suede panels, avoid water where possible and brush with a suede brush once dry.

Processing Time

All orders are processed within 1–3 business days (Monday through Friday).
Orders are not shipped or delivered on Sundays or public holidays.

During periods of high order volume, processing may take slightly longer. In the event of a significant delay, we will notify you via email.

Shipping Fees

We offer free shipping on all orders.
All orders are shipped via USPS Ground Advantage.
We provide address delivery to all addresses within the United States.

Estimated Delivery Time

Handling Time: 1–3 business days
Transit Time: 10–12 business days (after processing)
Total Estimated Delivery Time: 11–15 business days

Please note that delivery estimates are not guaranteed and may vary due to location, shipping carrier delays, or other factors beyond our control.

Shipment Confirmation & Order Tracking

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a Shipment Confirmation Email with a tracking number. Tracking information may take up to 72 hours to become active.

Customs, Duties, and Taxes

Clovett is not responsible for any customs duties or taxes applied to your order.
All fees imposed during or after shipping (including tariffs and taxes) are the responsibility of the customer.

Damaged or Lost Shipments

Clovett is not liable for items lost or damaged during transit.
If your package arrives damaged, please contact the carrier directly to file a claim.

However, if your product itself is defective or arrives with functional damage, please email us at help@clovett.com and we will work with you to resolve the issue.

Be sure to retain all packaging materials and the damaged item before filing a claim.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date of receipt to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

The item must be unused and in the same condition it was received in
All original accessories, instructions, and packaging must be included
There is no charge for returning items to our warehouse.

Any supporting evidence (photos/videos if available)
We recommend using a shipping tracking service for all returns to ensure safe delivery.

Damage and Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item so that we can assess the issue and correct it.

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
We also do not accept returns if the item has been damaged or defective by the buyer. Unfortunately, we cannot accept gift certificates for returns.

Exchanges
The fastest way to get your desired item is to return the existing item and, once the return is accepted, purchase the new item separately.

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same item, please contact us at help@clovett.com .

Refunds
We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return and let you know whether or not the return has been approved. If approved, you will be automatically refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note that it may also take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and send the refund. If it has been more than 15 business days since your refund was approved, please contact us at help@clovett.com .
